Experience the difference. Feel the change. Enjoy the freedom.

October is one of my favorite months! Not only is it Physical Therapy and Chiropractic Month, it is the start of my favorite season: Fall! As the temperatures begin to cool and the trees change colors, it’s time to prepare for the winter months ahead. We are all trying to get things done outside to prepare our yards, flower beds and gardens. We may even begin pulling out the shovels and snow blowers, readying for snow. As we rush to get these things done prior to the winter months, repeated motions like digging, raking, and reaching can lead to overuse injuries of the arms, back, or legs.

As muscle soreness can occur with this type of injury, pain and restricted movements can open the door to  more limitations if the injury is left uncorrected. What can seem like a simple tight muscle, or nagging back ache, can lead to more severe injuries as we compensate for that tightness or pain. As the time passes without correction, you will notice an increase in pain with simple movements. You may even find that you’re not able to move the way you “used to.”

Thankfully, we are here for you! Catching these simple troubles early, can help prevent more debilitating injuries over time. At Schofield Chiropractic Group, we can help find the impairment and work with you to correct it. It might be as easy as a few adjustments, or retraining those muscles to move properly to allow you to return to your optimal level of mobility.
