Blending Physiotherapy into your healing at Schofield Chiropractic
Chiropractic and physiotherapy have similar goals of treating your needs but go about achieving those goals in different ways. Depending on your specific needs, a blend of both could be what works best for you!
At Schofield Chiropractic we’ve found ways to further your healing and comfort with the following physiotherapy services:
Graston
The Graston technique is a form of manual therapy using specialized instruments that gently scrape against the areas of restriction to break up scar tissue. First, your doctor will locate any knots, restrictions, or pains. Then they will use the stainless steal tools to break up the scar tissue and restore mobility and function.
Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill
We are one of the very few in the Cedar Valley to offer sessions with our Anti Gravity Alter G treadmill which is perfect for rehabilitation and training. The weightless running allows for patients to train through injury, rehabilitate after surgery, or for anyone with weight bearing precautions that want to gain strength, lose weight and/or increase cardiovascular fitness in a secure atmosphere. Keeping your body moving can sometimes be the best way to heal!
Hyperice Normatec Boots
These air compression boots help your legs feel rested, rejuvenated and ready to get back at it. They do this by decreasing inflammation, decreasing recovery time, reduce swelling and water accumulation, increase range of motion/flexibility and boost circulation.
Chiropractic and physical therapists alike have the same idea of healing in noninvasive and nonsurgical ways. Everyone can benefit from a chiropractic adjustment but if you’re also having more severe difficulties with pain and mobility ask your chiropractor what physiotherapy could be best for you!
